My name is Lauren Rascoe, and I am a creative mind with a vast array of experience in various art forms (see my portfolio - here). I am a poet and the self-published author of Beneath My Beautiful: Poetry & Love Notes and Amavi, graphic designer, event coordinator, fashionista, and a master of international marketing. I am also an independent writer for Scoop Magazine, an Alumni Board Member for the University of Indianapolis, a Dream Team brand ambassador for BASE BUTTER, and a PROUD member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Yea I know, I do a lot.)
I'm considered to be a fun-loving and colorful spirit that aspires to impact, encourage and uplift the lives of others. I enjoy volunteering with my beloved sorority and organizations like Girls, Inc., the Center for Leadership Development, the Boys and Girls Club of Indianapolis, the Miss Black US Ambassador Pageant, the EYES Boxing and Mentoring Program and my father’s mentoring program, Boys II Men, Inc. I also spent some time assisting the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. as a pageant coordinator, shortly after my reign as the Miss Black and Gold for the local Sigma Phi Chapter (2011) and the State of Indiana (2012) and taught group fitness as a licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor.
I am 2015 graduate of Hult International Business School (Boston, Massachusetts) where I obtained a master’s degree in International Marketing and a 2014 graduate of University of Indianapolis (Indianapolis, Indiana) where I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and studied Visual Communications Design and Experience Design.
