I recently had a conversation with someone about the concept of the "waiting game." You know what I'm talking about. Not quite procrastination, but waiting for the right moment to do whatever it is that's been tugging at your soul just a little bit.
There's this book you want to read. That place you want to visit. That girl or that boy you've been dying to talk to. Something you've been dying to tell someone, but you just haven't ever really determined when the "right moment" is.
But honestly, when is the right moment?
I've been reminded there's no better moment than RIGHT NOW. You never know when you're going to get another opportunity to do what you're going to do and the "right moment" might very well, never come.
Truth is that you have to start where you are, with what you have. Balance your ego and just do it!
YES! It's scary. YES! It's easier said than done.
But the hardest part is just starting. Let all of your reservations go. They're not doing anything, but helping you create excuses. Whether you do it now or later, the time is still going to pass you by in the process and you'll never get it back. So, you might as well do it now.
Besides, living your life reflecting on "what if" is nothing compared the great feeling of saying "I did that" even if it ends being a lesson.
In this life, you either WIN or you LEARN. There are no losses.
So start that blog. Write that letter. Apply for that job. Tell that special person you love them.
Stop continuing this cycle of the waiting game because time is way too scarce and way too precious.
It's time you do what you have to do.
Now, go for it!
